English Composition for Graduate Students

授業の目標（講義概要）

This course will help the students prepare to write their thesis in English. During the first term the students will write argumentative essays. During the second term they will write a short research paper.

評価方法

Over the course of the year, the students will be asked to write 4 compositions. Their grade will be based on the average of these four grades.

Handouts will be provided in class. Our main reference will be the Japanese version of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers. Multiple copies of this work are on reserve in the library.
