| The second semester of this introductory level language course focuses on improving the students' ability to communicate in spoken English. Even though the course emphasizes fluency skills and interpersonal communication rather than grammar study, some grammar will be studied in connection with the lessons to enable the students to improve their communication skills. The text contains a variety of topics that will provide the students with opportunities to talk about aspects of their daily life. At the completion of the course, the students would have the ability to communicate directly with people in English,both here in Japan and abroad. |
