Introducting Debate.

授業の目標（講義概要）

In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of debate including teamwork, research skills, and public speaking skills.

授業計画

In class, students will learn the basics of constructing a debate research resource as they prepare to debate a controversial topic. Students will also learn formal debate procedure. Since academic impartiality is crucial to debate, students should expect to argue for issues which they may not necessarily believe in personally. Depending on our time, we will debate two to three topics each.

評価方法

Students are graded on the success of the debate (winners receive higher grades than losers).
