Novel Writing

授業の目標（講義概要）

Composition of an extended narrative. Skills to be practiced include outlining, thematic convention, character development, conflict and resolution. The finished novel is typed and proofread. Students will write and conference with the teacher during class. Ideally, students should expect to write one chapter per class meeting. No formal homework will be assigned except the typing of the final draft. Students, however, may choose to complete unfinished class assignments at home.

評価方法

Students on graded on the successful completion of a ten-chapter novel. Chapters are 1000 words each and equal 10% each toward final grade.
