| he purpose of this course is to prepare the graduate student to write her thesis in English. |

| The first part of the course will be spent examining a model thesis. After that, the student will practice writing certain parts of a thesis. We will focus on:selecting and presenting the material to be quoted, writing the list of Works Cited, paraphrasing, etc. |

| Grades will be based on written assignments. All assignments must be typed. There will be no tests. |
