| The is an active class. Students should come prepared to engage with William Shakespeare and his play. Students will assume reading parts as we read and act the play in class. In the process we will discuss Shakespeares life and times, Renaissance dramatic conventions, and Elizabethan history. Students should expect to learn a lot about love, rebellion, poetry, youth, and English. |

| Students will be graded on a combination of class participation, position papers, presentations, and examinations. |
