This course is aimed at helping students feel confident speaking and listening to English.

Žö‹Æ‚Ì–Ú•Wiu‹`ŠT—vj
This class hopes to build confidence in speaking and communicating in English. There will be a number of topics which students will discuss. These topics will include various cultural and social aspects of Japan. Eventually students will be able to speak about their life in Japan to foreign people. There will also be a number of listening exercises introducing a variety of native English speakers.

There will be a balance of listening tasks with relevant speaking activities, both using skills to reinforce each other. The topics will concentrate on personal experiences as well as general cultural attitudes. Students will look at both Japanese and foreign cultural ideas and customs. There will be a variety of tasks such as listening, reading and speaking in groups and pairs.
